Pattern Making 2
Using the flat technique, students will learn how to add seam allowance to the 5 basic slopers. They will be introduced to dart manipulation and dart equivalent. In addition, students will draft the torso / dress foundation.
Enroll and complete Pattern Making 1
Pattern paper, Pattern notcher, pointed tracing wheel, French curve, See-through ruler 2" by 24," hip curve, Tape measure, Mechanical pencil, Dull scotch tape, Paper scissors. The same pattern making tools from previous courses are required.
How to add seam allowance and pattern signs to each piece of the pattern.
Dart manipulation using clear and easy exercises.
How to create and design dart equivalents.
How to do the pattern for style lines / princess lines.
How to draft the torso / dress foundation.
